For the past decade, DIY expert Geneva Vanderzeil has been finding creative ways to give old furniture a second life. And having garnered more than 1.8 million followers across social media, safe to say she knows a thing or two.
It all started when she embarked on the renovation of her Brisbane cottage years ago. ‘I became obsessed with DIYing everything in the house — from easy decor hacks to more complicated upcycles and furniture projects,’ Geneva says.
She’s been sharing her tutorials and ideas online ever since, but now she’s launched her own online DIY school featuring more in-depth courses, in hopes of inspiring others to get on the tools and tackle their next project this summer!
The first course for her new online community is all about furniture upcycling, with 10 modules that will reveal how to restore timber, paint and tile furniture, upholstery, in addition to a dozen new upcycling projects.
Students will also score some exclusive discounts from suppliers like Bosch, Tile Cloud and more, alongside handy printable budget templates and step-by-step guides.
Geneva says it’s just the first of many topics she’s planning to cover, with more ‘mini courses’ for various crafts and DIY techniques coming soon.
