Since launching in 1987, Australian furniture brand Jardan hasn’t been afraid to push the boundaries, leading the way with its local design and manufacturing teams. Now, the family-run business has just revealed their latest collection, Hotel Futura — and it might be some of their most creative work yet.
Inspired by the concept of an imagined hotel in the Australian desert, the new range brings a more playful side to Jardan’s stalwart aesthetic in eight new designs, including sofas, armchairs, tables, and dining chairs.
Pieces like the Bon sofa and the Wes armchair showcase oversized curved silhouettes that are an ‘ode to lounging’, says Jardan director Nick Garnham.
Colour and texture play a big part in the nostalgic character of the collection. Bold tones like chartreuse, purple, chocolate, and pastel blue come to life in rich velvet fabrics you’d expect to see in a luxurious hotel lobby, while the Rhys and Pia tables feature eye-catching stone details that contrast with natural or colour timbers. Another standout is the floral print that is available in three colourways for those who want their sofa to make a statement.
Hotel Fututra also introduces Walnut to Jardan’s range of elevated materials and it will soon available in the wider Jardan collection.
As always, each piece can be customised in a wide variety of colourways and finshes, and everything is made locally in Melbourne by a team of skilled craftspeople.
