Penny Min Ferguson grew up in Perth, Western Australia, where she studied design and illustration. In 2010, she moved to Melbourne, where she instantly embraced the local creative scene, organising small group exhibitions and undertaking various internships at design studios. In 2013, she began designing her own accessories and homewares, and before long, she was running her own fledgling business!
Since first opening her Etsy store in 2013 and starting to sell her wares, Penny has been part of some amazing special projects and collaborations. She has created a line of purses and a textile design for local label Togetherness. She has collaborated with another local label, Halcyon Nights, on a range of wonderful kids bedlinen. This year she is also very excited about a new print project she is working on with fellow local designer and printmaker Ashley Ronning. OH AND Penny also took out the Art and Illustration category in this year’s Etsy Awards!
‘What I get most out of the work I do with Min Pin are the connections I make with the local craft and design communities’ Penny says. ‘There are so many amazing, inspiring and talented people out there! I hope that Min Pin continues to grow so I can keep meeting these great people and work on new and exciting projects’.
Taking our cues from Penny’s sweet and quirky illustrative style, we sourced a few additional handcrafted items from the following Etsy sellers to complete this look. :
Printed table linen and ceramics vessels by Penny Ferguson aka Min Pin
Totem Vases and Peep Lights by Vanessa Bean
