Local homewares and bedding brand Kip&Co has drawn on the joyful world of Melbourne icon Mirka Mora for a special new collaboration.

Kip&Co founders – sisters Kate Heppell, Hayley Pannekoecke, and friend, Alex McCabe – worked alongside Mirka’s son, and director of Mora Galleries, William Mora, for a new collection in honour of the much-loved brand’s 10th birthday.

The collection features more than 60 styles, spanning everything from bedding and table linen, to totes, robes, clothing and kids wear, all covered in Mirka’s enchanting artworks!

Co-founder and creative director Alex McCabe says the launch of the collaboration is the culmination of 18 months hard work. But the Kip&Co team has cherished the opportunity to ‘immerse’ themselves in Mirka’s surreal creations, guided by William and his wife Anna.

‘Like many Melburnians, each of us [Kate, Hayley and I] feels our own special connection to Mirka. Her art is emotive and mythological which we love,’ Alex explains.

They scoured the extensive archives of Mirka’s prolific artworks from her studio and gallery to curate the perfect selection of prints for the collection. Designs like the Ma Vie print features a colourful collage of several of her works, while the Mermaid Dreaming print is made up of her ethereal winged mermaids, serpents and birds in a blue colourway.

It’s a delightful homage to the legendary artist, and the perfect way to liven up your living room, kitchen, bedroom or closet with a piece of her inimitable magic!
