I first met Kemi Nekvapil six years ago, when we both participated as speakers at Clare Bowditch’s first-ever Big Hearted Business conference in Melbourne. Needless to say, Kemi is one of those people who leaves a lasting impression! I’ve followed her career from the sidelines, since then, and it’s been brilliant to watch her flourish as a coach and as a thought leader, giving so much back to other women.
Back then, Kemi was very much focused on food and wellness, and she was a real pioneer of the ‘raw food’ movement, After more than 20 years working in the well-being space, she saw an opportunity to make a more widespread impact…
Today she is focused on broader questions of women’s wellness, a subject which led her to become an ICF accredited life coach and a brilliant speaker. She also recently completed intensive training with American researcher, author (of best-selling book Daring Greatly, amongst many others) and TED Talk phenomenon Brené Brown. So now, Kemi is also an accredited ‘Dare to Lead’ facilitator, spreading Brené’s ideas on leadership and vulnerability here in Australia, and wherever duty calls.
Kemi also JUST launched her own podcast called The Shift Series – a short and sharp podcast, that distils much of her coaching wisdom into an easy, actionable format. Well worth a listen!
But for now, settle in for my chat with the brilliant Kemi Nekvapil.
