Earlier this year, Obus Founder and Creative Director Kylie Zerbst  and her team asked their customers to vote on their favourite prints from the Obus archive. Over 2000 of their most loyal devotees voted, and FOR THE LADIES presents the winning prints, re-issued in updated colour palettes, and styled on six of the brand’s favourite local customers!

Top of the customer’s reissue wishlist was the distinctive Llama print – it’s been reimagined as a top, sleeveless fitted dress, wide-leg jumpsuit, high-waisted tailored shorts and statement blazer, all in linen/cotton. Alongside this, the Marakuya print is reborn in autumnal rust and toffee tones, along with the Peony floral print and bold Aerial design.

The six Obus customers who feature in this campaign represent Melbourne’s diversity and creativity.  Amar is a Northcote-based anesthetist who loves podcasts. Angelina is an optometrist and talented violin player. Sari is an emerging documentary filmmaker with a focus on telling women’s stories. Elizabeth is an artist and Mum; Laura is a lawyer, business owner and Mum; and Keryn an adult-education teacher, working with new Australians.

‘This collection honours the quintessential Obus lady – a creative, passionate Melbourne woman who loves her career, her family, her community and places importance on the style and locally-made aspect of what she wears’ says Kylie.

A range of enamel accessories inspired by the prints, as well as nail polish, shoes and socks round out the FOR THE LADIES collection.

FOR THE LADIES is available at Melbourne City, Northcote, Brunswick East and Fitzroy stores and online, with new pieces dropping weekly.
